There are two types of people in the world: those who plan their beach bag a week in advance, and those who throw everything in a tote the night before and hope for the best. At Kaluca we respect both. But if you can, here’s your edge.
Because the Mediterranean in summer doesn’t forgive: the sun is fierce, the water is perfect, and every afternoon seems designed to end up at some beach bar drinking something cold. Your bag needs to be ready.
The bikini, first (always)
Start there. Pack at least two — one for proper beach days and one for the hotel pool or the boat. The best ones are those that don’t need much else: let the colour speak, let the cut be yours, put it on and not want to take it off.

What nobody tells you to pack
- A lightweight pareo. For the terrace at sunset, for the beach bar, for when the restaurant air conditioning is too cold.
- Sunscreen stick. Takes up half the space and doesn’t leak in your toiletry bag.
- Mesh bag. Lets everything dry by itself. No plastic, no strange smells.
- Sandals you can get wet. Leather ones don’t count here.
- Dry body oil. Salt + sun + a little oil = the best tan of your life.
The beach look that always works
Bikini + flat sandals + sunglasses + straw bag. Add the pareo if you need a bit of coverage to walk somewhere. Done. You don’t need more. The Mediterranean has that magic of making simple things look like a fashion editorial.
What you can leave at home
The hair dryer (the sun does a better job). The heels (your feet will thank you). The doubts about your swimwear (if you’re wearing it today, it’s the right swimwear).
